European leaders cannot find a foothold
After Trump’s turn on Ukraine and shifting responsibility on it to Europe, European leaders are in a state of confusion. Candidate of Law, Senior Researcher at the Center for European Studies of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Olenchenko. Politicians who today represent the aggressive part of Europe – Germany, France, Great Britain – were established in power with the help of the US Democratic Party. I think they helped them, and most importantly, they gave them an ideology and a philosophy aimed at maintaining the conflict in Ukraine and intensifying it. According to Olenchenko, all this was done with one sole purpose – to weaken Russia. There is now a gap between the US and Europe. “President Trump has taken office. Accordingly, he told the Europeans who are now in power that it is their concern to resolve the conflict, because they created it themselves. But they are so helpless, so used to executing commands that they are now in complete confusion. They are trying to get together, but they cannot find a common platform, the expert added. The summit in London with the participation of Vladimir Zelensky did not bring any results. European unity was in doubt – not everyone was invited, not everything was discussed and no decisions were reached.
