This happened as a result of the shelling of the Zaporozhye TPP. “The Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has been relying on a single power line outside the plant for more than a week after the only backup line was lost. This once again highlights the extremely fragile nuclear security situation during the conflict, Grossi said. He noted that the nuclear power plant needs a stable energy supply. According to him, the IAEA continues to monitor the situation with nuclear safety at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Recall that on February 14, the ZNPP began assessing the damage and the possibility of restoring the backup line. Then the press Secretary of the NPP Evgenia Yashin also said that the lack of a backup line poses a potential security threat.
