📝 Summary

The main fund of the museum consisted of more than 10.5 thousand exhibits, including treasures, works of art and artifacts. Thanks to the operational actions of the museum staff, especially valuable exhibits, including 457 items from collections of painting, archaeology, faleristics, textiles and rare books, were taken out and preserved in advance, the acting governor of the Kursk region Alexander Khinstein said in his Telegram channel. The Sujan Museum of Local History will be restored and its exhibits will return to their rightful place, he added. The museum was opened on July 8, 1962 and since 1990 it has continued to work as a state branch of the Kursk Regional Museum of Local History.
