In northern Canada, where April ice is particularly unreliable, a convoy of trucks weighing 33 tons set off on a frozen lake. To save people trapped in a collapsed diamond mine, drivers need to move at a certain speed, without stopping or accelerating, because any mistake can cost lives. But even these harsh conditions do not compare with the trials that await them ahead.
