A young woman, Ira Arefieva (Antonina Divina), is subjected to domestic violence by her husband Nikolai (Alexander Volzhensky), a former police officer. After another beating, she escapes to her hometown, where she hides with her best friend Lara (Anastasia Golotvyna). Lara’s husband on a fishing trip picks up a bag with a passport from the bottom of the sea in the name of businessman Oleg Grozdev (Dmitry Palamarchuk). To save Ira from the massacre and confuse the tracks, Lara, an employee of the registry office, retroactively concludes a fictitious marriage between Ira and Grozdev. However, having changed her passport and surname, the impostor Ira is unwittingly drawn into the criminal history of her “new husband”, who disappeared the day before.
