There are currently 10 such institutions in Russia. Their task is to preserve rare library collections, which are of cultural and historical value. The idea of opening the Kursk Conservation Center was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Russia: the amount of federal funding will be more than 30 million rubles. We are talking about rare and valuable books, book monuments, of which there are more than 10 thousand units in our region.
