The premiere of the sports drama "Rodnina" was held in the capital's cinema "October". The film is based on the biography of a three-time Olympic champion. The film about indomitable will and strength of spirit was watched by Anna Schuster. Three-time Olympic champion, ten-time world champion and eleven-time European champion at the premiere of a feature film based on her biography - Irina Rodnina holds a signature smile on her face and remembers her mentors. In the hero of the picture, Vyacheslav Zhukova, the trainer Stanislav Zhuk is well recognized. The prototype of Vyacheslav Zhukov was no less strict in life. At the premiere, Rodnina recalls how once she was two minutes late on the ice and for this she received a punishment of two hours running. It was at the CSKA club, and the coach put a soldier on the figure skater to watch that she did not cheat. A special approach was complemented by a special language of communication with wards. “He initially called me only a burp, and the second, I was the last one in height and smiled all the time, so he said: Rodnina, cover your mitten” or “Do not eat lemonchik?”, says three-time Olympic champion in figure skating, State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina. Evgeny Tkachuk, who played the coach, says that in preparation for the role he reviewed the footage of the chronicle. But they sanctified only one, the professional side of the personality, which was the main difficulty, the actor admits. “It is not clear how this character could eat quietly, drink tea calmly,” said actor Evgeny Tkachuk. The movie often sounds like a metronome. In real life, the pair did train to his clicks and it helped them at the 73 World Cup in Bratislava. In the middle of the rental of Soviet skaters ceased to sound music – in the grave silence they continued the performance, despite the fact that the referee whistled, urging to stop. The performance ended without any blots. They became champions. All this is in the picture, as well as a brilliant victory at the Olympics in the United States against the background of the Cold War. And all this had to be conveyed both artistically and accurately. “This is an extremely dangerous complex task that is subject to very brave and talented people,” says the general producer of the film, First Deputy General Director of VGTRK Anton Zlatopolsky. To cope with the tasks, the filmmakers worked on the script for a year. More than 20 times made edits, and consulted with Irina Rodnina, and then at some point there was a very important for the fate of the film dialogue. At one of the meetings, she looked at me and said, "Will you still shoot as you see it?" - Honestly, yes! “Well, I trust you,” recalls director Konstantin Statsky. No less difficult task was the search for the main character. For more than six months, the director was looking for an actress who will play Irina Rodnina. The choice fell on the student of the Shchepkin school Vlada Samokhin. Before the tests, Vlada was offered to get acquainted with the biography of Rodnina and try to retell it on behalf of the skater herself. I especially remember how Irina Konstantinovna talked about skates. She called them “my shoes,” exclaims actress Vladislava Samokhin. Today Irina Rodnina again with blades of skates already in the form of a brooch. The excitement does not hide, I hope that the audience will like the picture and most importantly – the film will be able to inspire work and the will to life victories.
