The film was directed by Konstantin Statsky, and the main role was played by actress Vladislav Samokhin. In order to reliably convey the image of the famous athlete, she had to undergo serious training, including training on the ice and a detailed study of Rodnina’s biography. The authors of the film showed not only the victories of Irina Rodnina, but also the moments when the athlete had to deal with failures, pain and doubts. One of the central storylines was the interaction of the skater with coach Stanislav Zhuk, who played a key role in the formation of the champion. His image embodied on the screen Eugene Tkachuk.
