I believe that the Battle of Stalingrad is important for the whole world. There is no battle that would not be compared with the battles at Stalingrad, said veteran of the Great Patriotic War, a resident of the besieged Stalingrad Larisa Gegina. “Thanks to the initiative of the governor, 4.5 thousand people in the region received the status of “Resident of besieged Stalingrad” and the corresponding privileges,” said Alexander Bloshkin, Chairman of the Volgograd Regional Council of Veterans, Chairman of the Volgograd Regional Duma. Meetings in this format are already a good tradition. This is an opportunity for representatives of the public organization to sum up the results of last year and outline plans for the future.
