Journalists and cultural figures of military age will be able to leave Ukraine only with the permission of the head of the Ministry of culture of the country and no more than 60 days, reports the Ukrainian edition “Correspondent”.

Journalists and cultural figures of military age will be able to leave Ukraine only with the permission of the head of the Ministry of culture of the country and no more than 60 days, reports the Ukrainian edition “Correspondent”.
Earlier, the adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture Dmitry Zolotukhin said that more than 500 media workers, artists, and representatives of creative professions left the country in 2024 and did not return. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted changes regulating the procedure for traveling abroad for conscripted artists and media workers. The maximum period of stay abroad is 60 days with the possibility of extension in exceptional cases. According to the new procedure, a citizen must first submit documents - an invitation and a military registration document - for inspection in the state film and state television and radio companies. If these structures approve the application, the request will be sent to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The letter of assistance to the departure will be signed personally by the Minister of Culture or the person performing his duties. The Ministry of Culture will receive already verified packages for decision-making. To submit documents to the Ministry of culture set a minimum period of 15 days before departure, – stated in the publication. According to the newspaper, the innovations will come into force on Thursday, March 6. Earlier, the Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Maxim Pavlyuk introduced a bill that proposed to toughen the responsibility of fellow citizens for the removal of persons subject to mobilization abroad.
