Now tomatoes are only those who have not grown, or expanding the range.” Krasnoyarsk people buy seeds not only for seedlings, but also for planting in the ground - so that later, when it warms, everything was ready to go to the dacha and work with the ground. But there are those summer residents who already itch their hands as soon as possible to go to the beds. True, in Krasnoyarsk there are still dense snowdrifts, and you can work with open ground only when the ground warms up and all the snow melts. But there are other things in the garden that now is the time to take care of. The first thing Natalia and her son do in the spring is to release their greenhouse from under the white carpet. The whole land is almost ready for landing. Natalia takes care of this every autumn, when preparing the soil for winter. The ground in the greenhouse is covered with a dense layer of snow, so it is better saturated with moisture. And in April you can already plant plants. Natalia plans to sow cabbage and greens. It attracts and calls the garden not only experienced summer residents, but also beginners. Experts emphasize that the agricultural craft is now more interested in young people. But the debutante gardeners in this case should be more careful first of all with the choice of seeds. Rosselkhoznadzor specialists checked 82 points of specialized horticultural stores before the start of the sowing season and there are violations in 79. Rosselkhoznadzor recommends that you should not be led on the loud names of varieties of crops. They will not give you a good and rich harvest. Before choosing seeds, it is better to check them on the State Register of Selection Achievements. On the site, score the name of the variety - and, if it is in the database, you can be sure. Another risk that seeds carry from stores is that they may be contaminated. Therefore, after purchasing them, do not rush to plant immediately in the ground. Victoria Kehler, Director of the Institute of Agroecological Technologies of Krasnoyarsk GAU: First of all, the seeds are recommended to be disinfected, placing in chlorhexedine for 20 minutes. This will allow us to get rid of pathogens by preventing some fungal diseases.” According to agronomists, in March it is time to sow tomatoes, eggplant, peppers and flower crops, and the rest can wait.
