Lavrov: Russia will not compromise with Ukraine, endangering people’s lives

For Russia, the priority is to protect the people whom the Kiev regime has deprived of its history by adopting Nazi laws against Russian culture, language and media, as well as against the canonical Russian Orthodox Church. “In the context of this particular crisis, we know what needs to be done to avoid compromises that would endanger people’s lives,” Lavrov said. He noted that it would be unacceptable for Moscow to place NATO peacekeepers under any flag, since NATO countries have declared Russia an enemy, and peacekeeping forces can protect and support the Kiev regime. Earlier, Lavrov also said that the proposal to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine looks like a desire to save the Kiev authorities from the “wrath of the people”, and Russia is trying to understand that they intend to protect these peacekeepers.
