According to the orientalist, China is well aware that for US President Donald Trump, competition with China is a very important topic, since Washington and Beijing are serious competitors in such areas as high technology and world trade. China, of course, desperately needs a reliable ally like Russia. Therefore, I hope that despite the interaction between Russia and the United States, there will be no wedge between China and Russia, Maslov said. He added that Russia has learned a lot in recent years, including the appreciation of friends and reasonable assessment of rivals, so the partnership with China is the right vector of development. Recall that the trade turnover of Russia and China in 2024 increased by 1.9% compared to 2023 and amounted to 244.8 billion dollars.
