During the government hour with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, she said that the discussion on the exam should be completed and urged to put forward specific proposals for improving the exam. “It is necessary to improve the unified state exam in terms of the quality of this exam, the issues that are there, compliance with the school curriculum and so on,” said Matvienko. The speaker of the Federation Council urged to work out the issue and prevent the transformation of the exam into a “guess”. In addition, the politician proposed to take into account the average score of the certificate when entering higher educational institutions, since the exam, like any other exam, is a lottery. The child may become nervous during the exam, which will affect its results, said Matvienko.
