Analysts studied more than 56,000 posts in social networks over the past year and found that regionalisms are gradually disappearing from the Russian language - words that are used only in certain regions of Russia.
So, the least used were traditional cheese in Khakassia and the coil - so in the Ulyanovsk region called twisted sausage. Less and less in Astrakhan began to call eggplant demyanka, and slippers in Tatarstan – chirika. Also to the rarely mentioned regionalisms, analysts attributed the “leg” of cabbage kochan, as it was called in Belgorod and some other regions of the Russian Federation, the Siberian stroganina (sliced in thin slices of raw ice cream fish or meat) and shishishiga – similar to a house or forest creature from Vologda. At the same time, one of the most popular regionalisms is the St. Petersburg poredrik (border). It also turned out that regionalisms are most often used in their speech by people over 60 years old, and young people under 24 years old almost never, RBC reports with reference to a study of the Tutu service and Sidorin Lab.
