NABU: 41 MPs caught in corruption over the past two years
From 2022 to 2024, criminal cases were initiated against 41 former and current deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under the article on corruption. This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).

From 2022 to 2024, criminal cases were initiated against 41 former and current deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine under the article on corruption. This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
Before its creation in 2015, it was almost impossible to bring the parliamentarian to justice for corruption. “The situation has changed today. From 2016 to 2024, 68 current and former MPs reported suspicion, 41 of them in the period from 2022 to 2024, the statement said. As a rule, elected representatives of the people are attracted for embezzlement, embezzlement or seizure of property through abuse of office, bribery, illegal enrichment, declaration of false information and abuse of power. Cases of corruption in Ukraine are regularly reported. On March 1, servicemen of the 114th brigade of territorial defense of Ukraine called on citizens to “go to Kiev” and demand from the authorities explanations, where the military property and humanitarian aid went. In addition, on February 27, the Ukrainian portal Antikor published the results of a survey of Ukrainians about corruption in the country. 87.5% of citizens believe that bribery is at a high or very high level. More than 70% of respondents said that during the conflict, the level of corruption has only increased.
