On the Oka broke off part of the ice field measuring 50 by 70 meters, where there were 17 lovers of winter fishing. “Two tried to reach the shore on their own, one of them fell into the water,” the ministry said. Rescuers had to act quickly in a difficult situation. A fisherman who fell into the water was rescued, the rest of the people were also successfully evacuated to the shore. The rescue operation involved 40 people, using 16 units of equipment, including two boats.
