He commented on the inspection of the relics of saints in the caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra initiated by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. “It is very important for the modern Ukrainian authorities that the church be as nationalist as anything else. And the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is not about nationalism, but about God, he said. As Vakhtang Kipshidze, Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society and Media Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, noted earlier, checking the relics in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra is a mockery of millions of believers.
