He wrote music for more than 100 films and created over 300 songs and romances during his career. “For special merits in the development of domestic musical art and many years of fruitful creative activity, award the title of Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation to Alexander Zatsepin,” the presidential decree says on the official publication website of legal acts. Zatsepin also wrote music for such famous pop artists as Andrei Mironov, Larisa Dolina, Joseph Kobzon, Oleg Dal and many others. Earlier, Vladimir Putin awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia to singers Kate Lel and Elena Vaenga.
