This family saga tells about heroes, each of whom experiences the ups and downs in their own way. Between the student Olga Dymova and her teacher Mikhail Dolsky flashed feelings that they carried through the years. Their story began with a “sunstroke” like Bunin’s, and led to a breakup and a chance meeting fifteen years later. Dolsky’s wife, Lyudmila, was shocked by her husband’s infidelity and even went to the hospital due to a nervous breakdown. In an attempt to save the family, she begins to act with prohibited methods. No less dramatic are the events in the life of Mikhail’s best friend – Peter Markov. They met in an orphanage, where Markov took patronage over the weak Dolsky and defended him. In the future, having moved to St. Petersburg, Markov became a famous artist and brought a friend there. Margarita, the wife of Peter, accepting the fact that her husband constantly cheats on her, justifies her silence with fear of loneliness after the loss of her son. But when Margarita accidentally meets her husband’s young mistress, she realizes that she lives in an abyss of self-deception. At this very moment, she decides to leave Peter... and meets the perfect man. Over the years, the characters of the series “Rain at the end of summer” become older, change externally, but one thing in their lives remains unchanged – the desire for love and the desire to be loved. This is the secret of their inner youth. Will they be able to keep a place in their hearts for joy, sorrow, and, of course, for love?
