The interior of the temple is still being built.

After 96 years, the Savior Church of Tyumen is ready to receive parishioners at regular worship services. One of the oldest temples in the city in stone was built in the late 19th century. In Soviet times it was used as a museum fund. I opened the doors after the restoration work. The Savior Church is a decoration of Tyumen and a bright representative of the Siberian Baroque of the late 18th century. For almost 100 years, access to the church for Orthodox believers was limited. In the 30s of the last century, the building was used as a hostel, later transferred to the Tyumen Regional Library, and then the funds of the Regional Museum of Local History were stored here. In 2019, restoration work began in the church with the support of the Government of the Tyumen region. In the lower part of the temple, during the work, experts found the remains of the head of the city of Andrei Tekutyev. The restored church was transferred to the parish community. And in August 2024, the Metropolitan of Tobolsk and Tyumen made the first prayer service on the day of the patronal holiday in honor of the Savior. And on the first day of Great Lent this year, under the arches of the temple, the penitential canon of St. Andrew of Crete was read. The interior of the temple is still being built. In mid-March, a temporary iconostasis is planned. Divine services in the Savior Church of Tyumen are now planned to be held regularly.
