Unlike traditional phishing attacks with grammatical errors and obvious signs of forgery, this deception looks authentic, as it uses the official style of YouTube - personal videos and brand design. Deputy General Director – Head of the Regional Department of VGTRK, Chairman of the Commission for the Development of the Information Community, Media and Mass Communications of the OP of the Russian Federation Rifat Sabitov explained why it is important for content authors to switch to Russian platforms. “YouTube’s automated systems are unable to recognize complex fraud patterns. This results in content creators being held hostage to the situation: their accounts can be stolen or blocked due to false complaints or algorithm errors. Such threats prove that it is time to think about the transition to safer and more transparent domestic board forms, where authors can count on adequate support, protection of their rights and an honest attitude to their work, said Rifat Sabitov.
