Fraudsters in the email on behalf of Reg.ru offer to follow the link and replenish the balance through one of the legitimate payment services in cryptocurrency. Payment in cryptocurrency is supposedly necessary due to sanctions, said RBC registrar and BiZone. Clicking on the link, the victim makes payment through the only available method - donation, a monetary donation. At the same time, the address bar of the payment page has the name of the registrar. It is noted that due to payment through a legitimate site, user data remains safe, but the funds go to scammers, and not to pay for the services of the hosting provider. Director of information security Reg.ru Sergey Zhurilo stressed that today no company is immune from this type of fraud - attackers need only one requisition for attacks.
