“As a result of the operation, the police found more than 30 caches and caches, from which 360 firearms, 12 grenades and more than three thousand ammunition were seized. Among the seized property, seven weapons were reported stolen, four of them were stolen during the January events. Also, the police found six units of previously lost weapons and took from citizens 14 units that were voluntarily surrendered, said Kanat Nurmagambetov, head of the criminal police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan. In addition, during the operational activities, more than 120 cases of illegal possession and carrying of firearms were identified, which led to the bringing of 200 offenders to administrative responsibility.
