On Tuesday, the People’s Assembly (Parliament of Serbia – Ed.) began the first meeting of the spring session, at which deputies adopted the agenda consisting of 50 items. After its approval, MP Radomir Lazovic (represents the Left-Green Front) went to the podium with shouts at the country's leadership, followed by his party members. Security officials and members of the ruling party tried to stop them, but a scuffle ensued between the parliamentarians and the guards. During the fight, deputies of opposition parties lit smoke bombs. “Today there were riots and fights in the Serbian Assembly, as opposition deputies after the adoption of the agenda at the Assembly meeting threw smoke bombs and lit torches in the hall,” the publication says. Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said that one of the deputies suffered a stroke during the riots in the meeting room. She condemned the opposition and urged them to respect their colleagues.
