Started the 14th Winter Spartakiad of schoolchildren for the prizes of the Governor of the Kostroma region
The opening ceremony began with the lighting of the torch. This honorable mission was performed by honored masters of sports, medalists of the Olympic Games Alevtin Olyunin and Nadezhda Torlopova. Also, by tradition, at the opening of the Spartakiad, the passing Cup of the winner of the regional action GTO "The Norm of Life" was transferred. Nerechtians got it. 29 teams from all cities and districts of the region take part in competitions for the governor's prizes. 174 young athletes compete for the victory. In the morning, the guys competed in the short track and skating relay at the Ice Arena. They will also have a winter polyathlon, a ski race, shooting from an air rifle and an all-around GTO. The results will be announced tomorrow at the closing ceremony of the competition.
