The eighth court of cassation of general jurisdiction ruled to mitigate the punishment, but without changing the qualifications against the former head of the regional Gosstroynadzor Tanzila Komkova, her son Eduard Komkov and Nikita Cherednichenko, the head of the company that was engaged in the reconstruction of the Kemerovo confectionery plant for a shopping center, according to court materials obtained by RIA Novosti. The fire in the shopping center "Winter Cherry" occurred on March 25, 2018 and claimed the lives of 60 people, most of whom are children. 15 people were convicted in this case.
