Kevin Hassett, director of the National Economic Council, said Trump is convinced of the need to bring everyone to the negotiating table and can achieve these negotiations with carrots and sticks. Attempts to talk to Russia from a position of strength and the threat of new sanctions are futile. This is understood by Trump himself, who previously spoke in favor of lifting sanctions from our country, Nesterenko told RIA Novosti. According to him, it is difficult to say for whom the statement of the President of the United States is intended – for internal or external consumers. There have been many statements recently, including contradictory ones, but Russia is ready for an honest and fair dialogue.
