In the Lipetsk region convicted 62-year-old native of Belgorod, who became the culprit of a fatal accident in Yelets. The man was charged with part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code - for traffic violation, which resulted in the death of a person by negligence. The tragedy occurred at the crossroads of Kommunarov and Pirogov streets on September 28, 2023. About two in the afternoon, the driver of the UAZ Patriot SUV decided to turn left and did not give way to the oncoming Honda motorcycle under the control of a 37-year-old man. Two-wheeled vehicles at full speed crashed into the back door of the car. In the back seat of the SUV was a 24-year-old girl who died from her injuries. The motorcyclist suffered serious health damage. As specified in the press service of the regional Prosecutor’s office, his guilt driver “Patriot” has not admitted. However, investigators proved the opposite. As a result, the court sentenced the Belgorod man to three years in a colony-settlement, and the man was deprived of his driver’s license for two years.
