In Lipetsk, a hunter will be convicted for illegal extraction of two roe deer

In the Lipetsk region will convict a 46-year-old hunter who is accused of illegal mining of two wild roe deer. The man was charged with part 2 of article 258 of the criminal code “Illegal hunting”. So, in mid-December 2023 near the village of Panikowets, Zadonsky district, hunting inspectors detained a man in the Zadonsky reserve. In his SUV “UAZ” found the carcasses of two roe deer, packed in black packages. On the bodies of animals, experts found bullet wounds. The police also seized their gun and thermal imager. The shooting of two wild animals caused the Department for the Protection, Use of Animal Objects and Aquatic Biological Resources of the Lipetsk Region a particularly large material damage totaling 480,000 rubles, the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. As a result, the criminal case was transferred to court. The hunter faces up to 5 years in prison.
