The exposition presents models of cars of famous Italian companies from the end of the XIX to the end of the XX century.
The history of the Italian car industry in miniature. An exhibition of toy cars is held at the National Automobile Museum of Turin. The entrance to the exposition is through the mechanics workshop, where unfinished models, forgotten details, ancient tools lie behind the iron bars. This is the space of childhood - with play, experiments, discoveries and, of course, breakdowns. The main hall is an example of exemplary exhibition. From the end of XIX to the end of XX century – there are models of cars of famous Italian companies. Hidden behind glass, the machine is transformed from a child’s toy into an object of adult worship. “We usually find these miniature cars in garbage dumps or dusty attics. I thought it was important to put them in a museum context, in this perfectly white space, to remind of the art of hand modeling, today completely forgotten, said the artist, curator of the project Robert Kuzmirovski.
