He added that at the moment Russia is fighting not with individuals, but with whole groups of fraudsters acting with the support of unfriendly countries. “We clearly understand that today through a set of measures, in 2025, we will be able to create conditions under which we will fully close this problem,” Lebedev said. To finally solve the problem, it is necessary to fight cyber fraud at a completely new level, the deputy minister said. He noted that the department is holding closed meetings on this issue, the content of which he cannot talk. Direct damage from cybercrime in Russia reaches the amount of 160 billion rubles, Lebedev also noted. Earlier in Moscow, a taxi driver saved the pensioner’s money and helped detain phone scammers, he told the Rossiya TV channel. Banking organizations of Russia will identify employees assisting fraudsters in obtaining a loan for victims, the innovation was approved at a meeting of the Bank of Russia expert council.
