The new terminal of Tyumen airport received the first passengers

A new terminal has opened at Roshchino Airport. This means that in the near future, it will become more comfortable to fly to the regional capital or travel. The reconstruction of the old building will begin soon. Later, the spaces will merge. Spaceship or new terminal of Tyumen airport "Roshchino". Construction of the building was completed in December. And now Rosaviatsiya has issued permission to commission the facility. The first passengers arrived here today. Others go on a journey. Anastasia Piliptseva is a tourist with experience. He says that our airport is even more convenient than foreign ones. It is not difficult to understand that this terminal is located in the Tyumen airport. The interior is decorated with stylized schemes of chemical elements. And as you know, Roshchino is named after the scientist Dmitry Mendeleev, our countryman. Not without modern design - the building has many panoramic windows. In the waiting rooms there are posters with Mendeleev’s quotes. By the way, there is already a room of increased comfort. We've added landing gates. In the near future, pre-flight inspection will begin on the second floor. In June 2023, the governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moore laid a time capsule at the airport, thereby giving a start to construction. Almost two years later, we see an interim result. According to the plan, the reconstruction will be completed by the end of 2026. In Roshchino, there will be two new ladders, 22 passport control cabins on international flights, the number of check-in counters will increase from 15 to 39. Renovate the station square and apron. The new terminal can only be accessed through the central building. We flew in, picked up our luggage on a new long ribbon and went to the already open parking area. The old airport building will be rebuilt and merged with the new terminal. Thus, you will get a single space with an area of up to 47 thousand square meters. About 2,000 people will be able to comfortably stay here at once.
