Dedovichi today celebrate the 81st anniversary of liberation. During the Great Patriotic War, the settlement was the center of the Partisan region. Near it, the people's avengers carried out active combat actions against the Germans. In turn, the occupiers sent punitive squads to fight the partisans, destroying local residents along with entire villages.
Over the past two and a half years, more than five thousand residents of Dedovichi have perished, over 370 villages and the town of Dedovichi itself have been burned to the ground. For the courage and bravery shown by the locals in the fight against the fascists, in 2018 the district was awarded the Honorary title "Land of Partisan Glory" first in the region.
