In an interview with Fox News, he noted that the signing of an agreement on the use of Ukrainian natural resources by the United States could be a “positive moment” for Ukraine, allowing Washington to move to a new stage of negotiations with Moscow. “But instead, which upset the president, frankly, angered him, it became unclear whether Zelensky really wanted to stop the fighting,” Waltz said. According to him, Zelensky’s behavior in the Oval Office “was a kind of ambush.” He added that after the incident, Trump’s team almost unanimously advised him to stop the meeting and concluded that further interaction with the head of the Kiev regime would only lead to regression. Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Zelensky’s voyage to Washington was a complete failure of the Kiev regime.
