Specialists of the Yamal Department of Transport said that in 2025 two sections of the Nadym-Salekhard highway with a total length of about 36 kilometers will be repaired. The repair will be carried out in accordance with the Comfortable Environment national project. The facility will involve several dozen workers and the most modern equipment. Specialists will use the method of asphalt restoration without the use of high temperatures. It consists in grinding asphalt coating with the addition of cement. Next, the coating will be treated with bitumen and reinforced with a new material, and asphalt concrete is laid on top. According to experts, the use of this technology will make the coating stronger and increase the service life of the road. Yamal joined the implementation of the national project “Safe quality roads” in 2019. During the participation of the region in the project, more than three hundred kilometers of roads were repaired.
