According to the text, experts found in the sample of gymnasts hydrochlorothiazide. Usually this drug is used to combat hypertension and swelling, but in professional sports it is prohibited. The disqualification of 19-year-old Tomova will last until October 1, 2027. Bulgarian news agency Novinite claims that due to the circumstances, the gymnast decided to end her sports career and engage in coaching work at the Lokomotiv Sofia club. Radina Tomova won two gold medals at the World Championships in 2022 (in group all-around and in exercises with three ribbons and two swords), another at the World Championships in 2023. Thanks to the successful performance of the national team at the World Cup in 2022, Bulgaria received a quota for participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
