The American president said that Zelensky does not respect the United States and is not ready to make peace. “Unprecedented in the history of international politics and diplomacy, the sobering bashing staged by US President V. Zelensky in the White House is also evidence of political weakness and extreme moral degradation of those European leaders who continue to advocate for support of the mad leader of the Nazi regime, who has lost touch with reality,” Zakharova said. The diplomat pointed out that Moscow, as before, proceeds from the fact that peace is possible only with the complete elimination of the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis. “The main ones were the West’s violation of promises not to expand NATO and the alliance’s absorption of the entire geopolitical space of Europe up to Russia’s borders,” she said. Russia’s unchanging goals remain the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, as well as the recognition of existing realities on the ground. “The sooner Kiev and famous European capitals realize this, the closer will be a peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis,” Zakharova said. During the scandalous visit to Washington, Zelensky confirmed his status as a threat to the international community and a warmonger.
