Competitions were held in Ivanovo
A new record for daily swimming in Russia was set by a native of Yuzha. Large-scale competitions were held in Ivanovo. They were attended by 47 athletes from different cities of the country - from Irkutsk to Novorossiysk. Participants competed in 9 disciplines: swims for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours, 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours. The task of athletes is to overcome as much distance as possible in the allotted time. Four athletes participated in the 24-hour swim, including one woman, Yulia Shramko. She set a new record for daily swimming with a score of 66,226 meters. Yulia was born and lived in Yuzh, after the 11th grade moved to live in Novorossiysk, but does not forget to visit relatives in the Ivanovo region.
