A teenager collecting data on the Ryazan Oil Refinery for Kyiv was detained in Bashkortostan.

According to the detainee himself, his father was mobilized for a special military operation in 2022 and is currently in the hospital. The young man entered university in 2024 and started looking for part-time work. As a result, Ukrainian handlers contacted him in one of the chats. Initially, he was given simple tasks - to draw graffiti, remove religious clothing from a woman, and take photos of mosques. He was paid for each task completed. "During the New Year holidays, the handler suggested that I go to Ryazan, shoot a video of an oil refinery, and show the location on a map of the perimeter, communication towers, guard posts, and air defense," confessed the detainee, as reported by RIA Novosti. The young man agreed, took about 5-7 photos, and received 65,000 rubles. After that, he was also sent to Kazan, where he filmed a kindergarten, parking spaces, a hostel, and churches. He was paid around 50,000 rubles for this. However, he refused to film copper-zinc deposits in Bashkortostan and suggested hiring special people for that. The handler instructed him to oversee this process. The day after this conversation, the young man was detained by Russian authorities. The detainee faces up to 20 years in prison. The investigation is ongoing.
