Russian Armed Forces fighters are advancing along the Malaya Loknya River. In the vicinity of the village of Malaya Loknya, soldiers of the 22nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division take positions, cutting off the supply of militants. “In the village of Novaya Sorochina (a kilometer north of Malaya Lokni – approx. ed.) are already our units, entrenched fairly confidently, continue to move to the south side. There are heights and the main highway, the goal is to cut off the supply of the APU, says Belyash. During the retreat, Ukrainian militants mined the territory with NATO directed anti-personnel mines and land mines disguised as household items. “In a short period of time, the APU was dug in very qualitatively. The minefield is mixed: anti-personnel and anti-tank mines in several rows, the approaches were very seriously equipped, said the commander of the battalion of the 22nd motorized rifle regiment with the call sign Irtysh. The settlement of Novaya Sorochin was liberated thanks to the active actions of the North group of troops. In addition, under the control of the Russian army in the Kursk direction passed Pogrebki, Orlovka and Nikolsky.
