Scammers posing as employees of cellular communication and Rosfinmonitoring, robbed 93-year-old resident of the capital more than 3.8 million rubles, according to law enforcement agencies.
The Muscovite told police that the scammers called her through the messenger from different numbers. For two days, the attackers, who posed as employees of mobile communications and Rosfinmonitoring, convinced the pensioner that to save her savings, she must collect money and transfer them. “As a result, the pensioner collected more than 3.8 million rubles and handed them over to the courier who came to her house,” the source said. The police opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud on an especially large scale.
