According to TASS, the Muscovite was found guilty of distributing extremist materials. He published the banned film on his page in the "Video" section - thus, it was freely available for viewing and copying to an unlimited number of users. The defendant admitted his guilt in full and repented of what he had done. The decision to recognize the painting as extremist was taken by the Kirov District Court of Tomsk on July 21, 2009.
