At the meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Mari El discussed the state of crime in the region

The state of crime in the region was discussed today at an extended meeting of the board in the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Mari El. The Head of the Republic Yuri Zaitsev took part in the work. He noted that thanks to the efforts of law enforcement officers, the crime situation remains under control. There have been fewer cases of intentional infliction of serious harm to health, robbery, theft, crimes while intoxicated. The situation in the area of juvenile delinquency has also been stabilized. In the region, several drug channels were blocked, public order was protected during 295 mass events. However, according to Yuri Zaitsev, there is still work to be done. Traffic accidents and crimes committed using information technology are of concern. The head of Mari El thanked law enforcement officers for their effective work and presented the most distinguished honors. The Minister of Internal Affairs for Mari El Andrey Vyrvich spoke about the results of activities for 2024. The collegium was also attended by Chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic Mikhail Vasyutin, Chief Federal Inspector for Mari El Sergey Belyakov, heads of territorial structures of federal executive bodies.
