Today is 95 years since the birth of Professor Rimma Zaurbekovna Komaeva. Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of Russia, Honored Worker of Higher School of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Science of North Ossetia. For a long time she headed the faculty of Ossetian philology and journalism of SOSU. She taught not only the word, but the main thing - to think. These are the phrases “your vector went in the wrong direction.” You sit and think where this vector went, in which direction it went.” Rimma Zaurbekovna addressed each student only as a “colleague”. After such treatment, the sense of responsibility could not be increased. Before her and the profession in which she immersed the teacher. We loved to try it and bring it to class. At one point, she realized that we were very fond of this, and she started her class: “Guys, how can you eat this?” The grass from the lawn is put in your bread and you eat it. Can you just eat your own bread? You won't believe it, but we stopped doing it.” For more than fifty years Rimma Zaurbekovna devoted her pedagogical activities. She opened the door to the big world of journalism for more than one generation of students who today remember the lectures of their mentor and teacher only with gratitude. This was a parallel structure, we had quite serious powers, of course, and the responsibility was high. Through the student dean’s office, for example, Alina Tsomartova-Levitskaya passed, I was for some time, then, when we went into a completely independent life, professional and even got to some positions in the civil service, we were helped by the experience of communicating with Rima Zaurbekovna Komaeva, when she made it clear that if you are sure of what you are doing, you will definitely reach some heights. Dean of the Faculty of Ossetian Philology and Journalism, Head of the Department of Culture of Speech, Language and Mass Communications, Laureate of the State Prize named after Kosta Khetagurov, Professor ... Her level was out of reach. She valued intelligence, knowledge, ability to work. But most of all, I valued the ability to be human.
