The defense of the Minister of Roads and Transport of the Chelyabinsk region Alexei Nechaev and other defendants appealed their arrests in the case of embezzlement. It was reported in court.
"An appeal against the decision to elect a preventive measure in the form of detention of Alexei Nechayev has been registered," the source said. It is specified that the same complaints were received from three more defendants in the case: Director of LLC Technopark Alexander Zyryanov, entrepreneur Konstantin Zaripov and former head of the regional Ministry of Doortrans Dmitry Mikulik. The arrest of Alexei Nechaev became known on February 19. He is accused of embezzlement of budget money, organized by a group of people or on an especially large scale. On February 21, three defendants in the case were arrested , and Ekaterina Krasnikhina, the deputy general director of RSGroup LLC, who is also a suspect in the case, was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. According to the investigation, during the implementation of state contracts with the participation of JSC Yuzhuralmost and CJSC Yuzhuralavtoban, budget funds were stolen from 2015 to 2019. According to Kommersant, the amount of damage amounted to almost 3 billion rubles.
