In one of the capital's clinics in the 49th year of life died the former Minister of transport of Bashkiria Alexander Klebanov. He is accused of bribery on an especially large scale.
This was reported by the lawyer of the accused, without specifying the cause of death. Klebanov was under house arrest and was hospitalized due to health problems, the defender said. According to Kommersant, Alexander Klebanov was a suspect in the case of receiving a large bribe. In May 2023, the ex-minister, being a member of the board of directors of JSC Bashkiravtodor, demanded 5 million rubles from the head of the company for patronizing and accelerating payment for the work performed under contract contracts. The former minister fully admitted guilt and concluded a pre-trial cooperation agreement and testified against acting Deputy Prime Minister Alan Marzayev.
