The Public Council under Rospotrebnadzor requires the Ministry of Industry and Trade to withdraw from circulation counterfeit dairy products released for sale in Russia.
According to the newspaper Izvestia, 14 Russian manufacturers under the guise of natural oil and cottage cheese sold fake products that contained vegetable fats, as well as sterols and banned transglutaminase. After checking it was found that in the butter and cottage cheese mass proportion of protein, fat and some other indicators do not meet the required standard. Violations were revealed at the companies of JSC TMK Tvertsa, LLC Molprom, LLC Voznesenskoe, LLC Kursk Cheesemaking Plant, LLC Voskhod and others. The fake went on sale in the network "Magnet", "Dixy", "O'Kay" and a number of others. Earlier media reported that the Russian market recorded an increase in the number of counterfeit dairy products. The trend was tracked by the National Union of Milk Producers. The increase in the number of counterfeits has attracted attention against the background that in the previous ten years their number has decreased.
