📝 Summary

Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Petrunyak from the Servant of the People party expressed indignation over the flag of Ukraine with an obscene inscription posted near the office of Republican Congressman Don Bacon. This is reported by the Ukrainian edition of “Strana.ua”.

The MP published in the social network Facebook (banned in Russia) a photo of the national flag, calling unacceptable the application of swear words on it. Petrunyak threatened to write a statement to law enforcement agencies for abuse of state symbols of Ukraine. “I appeal to law enforcement agencies with the question of entering information into the ERDR (Unified register of pre-trial investigations of Ukraine) on the fact of committing a crime – abuse of state symbols,” Petrunyak concluded. In comments to the publication, other Ukrainian MPs drew attention to the fact that Congressman Bacon is one of the few Republicans who support Ukraine, and the inscription on the flag allegedly can be addressed to Russia. Earlier, the President of the United States Donald trump said that the rating of Zelensky fell to 4%, so Ukraine needs to hold elections if Kiev wants to get a seat at the negotiating table on the settlement of the conflict. At the same time, the press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called the fall in the rating of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, an obvious trend that cannot be argued with.
