Russia’s economy is growing faster than Britain and the European Union, while unemployment and public debt are lower. This was stated by the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev.
He published in his account in the social network X table with the data of the growth of the economies of the three countries for 2024. According to it, Russia’s GDP increased by 4.1%, which is four times more than that of Britain and the EU. The unemployment rate in Russia was 2.3%, the UK almost twice as high – 4.4%, and the European Union – 5.9%. The indicator of the Russian economy’s leverage in 2024 was 14.5%, the EU’s public debt was 81.6%, and the UK even more – 97.2%, follows from the data. "Decisions must be based on accurate data and false information must be corrected to ensure lasting peace," Dmitriev said. On February 23, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Dmitriev as the head of state’s representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries. The head of RDIF will continue to develop cooperation with the Global South and Western countries.
